Annual Fundraising Event 2014.
The Parents Association Committee wish to inform you of their annual fundraising event which takes place on Saturday 19th of April, the venue will be Streamstown National School between 2 and 5pm.
The main purpose of this fundraising event is to service the school refurbishment loan. Last year €5887 was raised and we would really like to surpass this amount with your help and support.
It will be a great family day out with lots of activities to suit everyone such as; An Easter Egg Hunt, Face painting, fun games for children, floristry demonstration, cake sale, magician, colouring competition, Clara town band, auction, raffle, spot prizes as well as refreshments.
We have decided to centre the event around a once off photograph of the school children which will then be made into a jigsaw. County photographs have kindly sponsored the taking of the photograph which will be taken on Thursday 13th of March. Unfortunately if a child is absent they will not feature in the jigsaw. There will be a formal photograph taken outside the school (weather permitting) and following that each child will be represented in another photograph in accordance with their month of birth using the following themes:
January; We will be using hats scarves and gloves.
February; Valentines, red T shirts or tops.
March; St Patricks day so green clothing and any other Patricks Day props
April; Easter/ Spring, so anything depicting spring or Easter would be great
May; Football season, using the school football jerseys.
June; Gardening, window boxes, gardening tools or gardening gloves.
July; Hay making season.
August; Holiday time,Beach buckets and spades, sunglasses.
September; Harvest time, straw hats / check shirts,
October; Halloween fancy dress
November; Rainy day, umbrellas and rain jackets
December; Christmas dress up.
We would greatly appreciate if parents could help in providing the relevant clothing/attire and props for these pictures. We will also need a few helping hands on the 13th of March between 11.30 and 1 o clock.
We are enclosing a sponsorship card (which will be part of the raffle) for each family and would appreciate if your child could please return them to school on or before April 9th. In the next few weeks parents will receive texts messages from the school with minor details of the event.
We look forward to seeing all members of the community on the day as it promises to be very entertaining and fun for all.

Streamstown Parents Association Committee.
The Parents Association wish to thank all those who assisted in and supported the Charity Ride for Streamstown National School. As a token of their appreciation they sponsored a raffle prize of a family day trip to Dublin Zoo. Every pupil in the school was entered in the draw and the winner was Cillian Farrell, Senior Infants.
